The medicine of our queer events is that of belonging and embracing self and community.  A kind of respite from our collective experience of being read as ‘different’ in heterosexual and cisgendered spaces.  This is perhaps the most common feedback from our retreats, quite simply how powerful it is to spend a weekend with other queer people.  The similarities of our collective struggles and triumphs are uncanny.  It is a kind of balm to the unloved places within ourselves deemed wrong because we are different whether overtly or covertly by others.  We are deeply invested in creating safety and authentic connections for queer people.  A place people can feel belonging, non judgement, curiosity and care.   The practices we teach open us to the possibility of a calm, centered nervous system despite the reality of our hyperaroused, push, pull, collapse society.  We have observed that once participants have experienced what Queer community feels like they nurture queer connections there on, it is a kind of missing puzzle piece that once found is treasured.
